People are afraid of change, and those who still press on bitching can't accept the fact that they have a problem. Apple users do nothing but promote beautiful aesthetics, creativity and convenience, Brooker can go have a blue screen of death for all I care.

The only valid reasons I’ve heard for a person's PC preference has been, 
"That’s what they use at my work."

 "I like to build my own computers." 

"I like to buy cheap products and deal with lots of problems."

 "I am mostly retarded."

I've been using PC's for most of my life (1995-2008 R.I.P.) and after going Mac, I'll never go back. I needed a high end machine that can keep up with me, and lets just say that Microsoft wasn't a competent runner. I was raised by the darkside, and now that I'm free I can't see how people can truly hate macs. Sure, I understand not wanting to pay more, but seriously, you get what you pay for, I learned that the hard way with PCs.

Anyways Lydia, let us grab lattes, sit in trendy independent coffee shops and ooze pretension with our Macbook and iBook in hand. Who else is gonna keep Charlie on his toes?

LOL, tech topics are as touchy as politics on the InterWebs. Oh, the flame wars in the comment sections of Engadget (et al.)! With all the ad hominems leveled between Apple evangelists and anti-Apple critics, you'd think it was a health care debate gone awry at ABC News' website.

"Mac vs. PC - the lamest battle to be had by middle-class morons everywhere. Ever." QFT. :-) Past the laptop and desktop consumer level is the even more elitist workstation class of personal computers (and servers too, but let's not get into that). A Mac Pro user is probably much too busy getting production finished to mock a HP Workstation user (and vice versa). These people get stuff done. These producers could be the ones who tell the consumers what to buy and bicker about. ;-) (All this as I type on my surprisingly stable 6 month old cheap netbook. LOL)

In any case, you must realize that open-source (i.e., Linux) is the new - err, nerd - socialism. And even that might be in jeopardy with mainstream Cloud Computing looming over the horizon (i.e., Google Chrome OS, based on Linux).
